Bitroot Extension Layer

Bitroot's Extension Layer is a fully EVM-compatible Layer 2 network that supports cross-chain transfer of Bitcoin Primary Chain assets to the Layer 2 network to run complex Dapps faster and at lower rates.

Cross-chain functionality: supports the transfer of Bitcoin and its native assets across the Bitroot extension layer.

DeFi eco-connectivity: users can bring Bitcoin native assets to the DeFi platform

Why Layer2?

Bitroot has already implemented running smart contracts on Bitcoin, but due to the transaction speed of Bitcoin itself, running on the Bitcoin chain doesn't work well for Dapps with performance requirements and real-time requirements. Therefore, we construct a Layer2, put high-performance Dapps in Layer2, and then verify the transactions through zero-knowledge proofs that enable bidirectional confirmation between Bitcoin and Layer2.
