Bitcoin, the highest-value, most secure, and most decentralised blockchain, still faces challenges of scalability and smart contract limitations that greatly restrict the growth of its ecosystem. Existing solutions have yet to fully address these issues.
Bitroot is the first programmable asset issuance protocol on the BTC chain, and its core functionality is an extension of the Bitcoin protocol designed to enable more functionality on top of the Bitcoin infrastructure, particularly smart contract functionality.
By extending the protocol, the Bitroot Protocol will enable more complex operations and applications on the Bitcoin blockchain, taking Bitcoin from a peer-to-peer electronic cash system to a more comprehensive distributed computing platform that maintains Bitcoin's core features, such as decentralisation and security, while introducing native smart contracts and other advanced features.
